AS 2795 – Dental materials – Gypsum-bonded casting investments

Specifies requirements for gypsum-bonded investments for casting dental alloys which have liquidus temperatures not higher than 1080 degrees Celsius. Classification, material, performance requirements, information to be supplied by the manufacturer, packaging and marking requirements are laid down. Appendices include methods for determining particle size distribution, fluidity and working time of the unset mix, initial setting, compressive strength, total linear expansion and behaviour during casting.
