ETSI ES 203 259

ETSI ES 203 259 defines the requirements necessary for the Configuration, Fault Management, and PerformanceManagement of the Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) system. The intent of the present document is to definea common, cross-vendor set of functionality for the configuration and management of CCAPs.

The present document defines a standard configuration object model for the configuration of the CCAP. The presentdocument also defines the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) Management requirements for a CCAP.These SNMP requirements include both protocol conformance and management object definitions, based largely uponexisting industry standard management objects found in DOCSIS CMTSs (Cable Modem Termination Systems) andUniversal EQAMs (Edge Quadrature Amplitude Modulation). In addition, the present document defines the standardEvent Messaging requirements of a CCAP system.

The present document corresponds to the CableLabs CCAP-OSSI specification [i.21].
