This document provides 1) dimensional and thermal data foraircraft indicators and 2) thermal interface data between theindicators and their operating environment. These indicators may becomplete in themselves or part of larger. systems incorporatingremotely located equipment. In the latter instance, thisspecification is concerned only with the indicator portion of thesystem.
PURPOSE
Since the original issue of this specification in 1960, therehas been a rapid growth in both the number of.types and in thecomplexity of the indicators used by the commercial air carriers.Because of this mushrooming growth it has been deemed desirable toestablish standardized dimensions for the newer indicatorconfigurations and to improve the reliability of indicators throughimproved thermal management.
