This document covers the Controller Area Network (CAN) datainterface attachments, envelopes, and data content to be consideredbetween all galley equipment using a Galley Data Bus as describedwithin this Specification.
This document describes commands and messages or reserves thepossibility to implement the following GAIN functionalities: GAINRemote Operation (start/stop catering process, change state,etc.)
• GAIN Power Control
• GAIN Data Transfer (data up/download)
• GAIN Failure Monitoring (diagnosis)
• Network Monitoring
This document should be applied to all devices attached to theGalley Data Bus.
This document does not define the equipment environmentalrequirements, physical description of the equipment, the GAIN orGAIN system architecture, design, or operation. Furthermore, adefinition of the Aircraft Interface is not part of thisspecification and needs to be customized according to theenvironment the system is integrated in.
