This document describes a Traffic Alert and Collision AvoidanceSystem (TCAS) specifically designed for installation in commercialtype aircraft. When interfaced with a Mode S radar beacontransponder in the manner described in this document andsupplemented with appropriate displays and control panel, the twounits function as an Airborne Separation Assurance System
