CNCL S/S BY AR 70-75
Purpose
This regulation establishes policies and procedures to insurethat—
a. All mission-essential Army materiel is consideredfor hardening against initial nuclear weapon effects. Policiesconcerning residual nuclear effects are addressed in AR 70-71.
b. Nuclear hardening is addressed early in theacquisition cycle.
c. Reasonable mission-related survivability criteriaare applied to all mission-essential materiel.
d. System nuclear hardening requirements, onceestablished, are applied and maintained throughout the life cycleof the system.
Applicability. This regulation applies to theActive Army and to all proponent agencies of research, development,test, and evaluation; acquisition; logistical support; productimprovement; doctrine; and training. It does not apply to the ArmyNational Guard or the US Army Reserve.
