This document provides a single source for the definition of all SS7 Cause Codes, the application of the Cause Codes with the associated treatment, and the appropriate verbiage to be played to the customer where an announcement is required. The document contains a complete matrix of SS7 Cause Codes and their definitions, and the appropriate mapping of Cause Codes as they traverse the network. Where applicable, this document may address NGN aspects.
