This specification presents the minimum fabrication and qualityrequirements for brazing ofaluminum and aluminum alloys. Its purpose is to standardize brazingprocess requirements andcontrol brazed joint quality for all applications for which brazedjoints of assured quality arerequired. This document establishes the minimum requirements forprocesses and products with aminimum of explanatory information so that sources of ambiguity areminimized. It assignsresponsibility for the ultimate quality of the brazed product to asingle organization and permitsthat organization to modify requirements if appropriate to theapplication. It requires properdocumentation of any such modification.
