This specification presents the minimum fabrication and qualityrequirements for brazing of aluminum and aluminum alloys. Itspurpose is to standardize brazing process requirements and controlbrazed joint quality for all applications for which brazed jointsof assured quality are required. This document establishes theminimum requirements for processes and products with a minimum ofexplanatory information so that sources of ambiguity are minimized.It assigns responsibility for the ultimate quality of the brazedproduct to a single organization and permits that organization tomodify requirements if appropriate to the application. It requiresproper documentation of any such modification.
