Applicability
The provisions of this code supplement the provisions of AWSD1.1/D1.1M, Structural Welding Code—Steel, andshall apply to the design, fabrication, quality control, andquality assurance of welded joints designed in accordance with theAISC Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings.All provisions of AWS D1.1/D1.1M for statically loaded structuresshall apply to the designated welds, except as specificallymodified herein.
