This standard establishes a test method to determine the abilityof a mated pair of electrical firewall connectors to resistspecified flame and vibration conditions during 20 minutes ofexposure by preventing flames from breaching the firewall throughthe connectors and providing specific electrical performance forthe first 6 minutes.
NOTE — Do not use this test procedure to describe or appraisethe fire hazard or fire risk of the materials, products orassemblies under actual fire conditions. Each application should beassessed for compatibility with electrical and circuitrequirements.
