OBJECT
The object of this test procedure is to detail a standard testmethod to measure the residual magnetism of a connector afterexposure to a specified magnetic field.
Connectors with a relative magnetism of 2 MU as determined byEIA 364-54 can satisfy the nonmagnetism requirements in mostapplications. Residual magnetism should only be required if themagnetic field constraints as associated with space flightapplications warrant such stringent requirements.
