This test method applies to the measurement of x-radiationemitted from raster-scanned dired-view data cathode-ray tubes. Forsome applications the test procedures described in EIA-503″Recommended Practice for Measurement of X-Radiation fromDirect-View Television Picture Tubes” may be more appropriatelyused than those described in this Standard.
PURPOSE
The purpose of this Standard is to obtain x-radiationcharacteristics of raster-scanned direct-view data displaycathode-ray tubes in order to predict the levels emitted by tubeswhen the electrical characteristics of the application areknown.
