This part of IEC 62391 applies to electric double-layercapacitors for power application.
Electric double-layer capacitors for power are intended forapplications that require discharge currents in the range from mAto A. The characteristics of the capacitors include suchperformance as relatively high capacitance and low internalresistance, which is applicable to Class 3 of the measurementclassification specified in IEC 62391-1.
The definition of power density and its calculating procedureshould be in accordance with Annex A.
