This standard applies to rectangular cable to board connectorshaving the following characteristics:

• shielded;

• 8 position;

• rectangular-shaped mating interface;

• 2.5 mm pitch spacing on a double row connector;

• for discrete wire to board applications;

• keying for determination of voltage requirements

This standard establishes uniform specifications, type testingrequirements and quality assessment procedures and should be usedin conjunction with EIA sectional specification EIA 700B000.
