W/D NO S/S * CONTACT SNIA FOR SFF SPECIFICATIONS
This specification defines the mechanical and connector contactperformance requirements for a composite connector system. Thiscomposite system is designed to support high speed serial signalsand power on different contacts within the same housing.
Intended applications for this connector system include SerialAttached SCSI (SAS) as specified in the SAS standards and for otherapplications requiring such a connector system.
The SFF Committee was formed in August, 1990 to broaden theapplications for storage devices, and is an ad hoc industry groupof companies representing system integrators, peripheral suppliers,and component suppliers.
