This set procedure may apply to any type or combination ofcurrent carrying members such as pin and socket contacts, relaycontacts, wire and crimp connectors, or printed circuit board andcontact.

Object

The object of this test procedure is to detail a standard methoda measure the electrical resistance of two current carrying membersin mutual contact. This test procedure specifies test voltages thatwill not disturb insulating films on the contacting surface norcause asperity melting. This procedure addresses the effect ofthermal EMF’s, source of measurement error.
