This specification applies to coated aluminum extrusions which are components utilized as the substrate for signs. These signs are generally used in exterior environments, but may be used for interiors.
The use of this specification is mandatory for all organizations subject to the Federal Identity Program.
Requirements of this specification cannot and do not modify requirements which may be laid down in legislation or regulations by the authority having jurisdiction.
