This Lighting Measurements Guide provides guidanceto transportation and illuminating engineers whoneed to test the photometric performance of trafficsignals in situ. It is a revision of LM-68-95,developed by the IESNA in cooperation with the Institute ofTransportation Engineers (ITE). This update includesa recently-developed method for field measurementsof traffic signals using a luminance meter, as well asinformation about field testing self-luminous trafficcontrol devices. Techniques are also described thatare useful when photometrically testing traffic signalsin a laboratory.
