This Standard covers potentiometric pressure transducers,primarily those used in measuring systems.

Technology used in this document is defined in ISA-S37.1.Additional terms considered applicable to potentiometric pressuretransducers are defined in 4.3 of this document. An asteriskappears after those terms defined in S37.1. A double asteriskappears after those terms defined in 4.3.

This Standard establishes the following for potentiometricpressure transducers.

Uniform minimum specifications for design and performancecharacteristics

Uniform acceptance and qualification test methods, includingcalibration techniques

Uniform presentation of minimum test data

A drawing symbol for use in electrical schematics
