The scope of this standard is to address the major combustion controlsubsystems in boilers withsteaming capabilities of 200,000 lb/hr (25 kg/s) or greater. Thesesubsystems include, but are notlimited to, furnace pressure control (balanced draft), air flowcontrol, and fuel flow control whenfiring coal, oil, gas, or combinations thereof. Specifically excludedfrom consideration aredevelopment of boiler energy demand, all burner control, interfacelogic systems, and associatedsafety systems, as well as all controls associated with fluidized bedand stoker-fired combustionunits.
