This Standard specifies minimum requirements for balancedtwisted-pair telecommunications cabling components that are used upto and including the telecommunications outlet/connector andbetween buildings in a campus environment. This Standard specifiesthe minimum performance requirements for recognized balancedtwisted-pair cabling components as described inANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.1 (i.e. cable, connectors, connecting hardware,patch cords, equipment cords, work area cords, and jumpers) and forthe field test equipment used to verify the performance of thesecomponents as installed.
