(This foreword is not part of thisspecification)
This specification defines an interface between the mobilestation and the base station to support Position DeterminationService for the cdma2000®1 network. This specificationconsists of the following sections:
1. General. This section defines the terms andnumeric indications used in this document.
2. Mobile Station Procedures. This sectiondescribes the procedures used by the mobile station to processmessages received from the base station and to send messages to thebase station. This section also specifies the message formats formessages sent from the mobile station to the base station.
3. Base Station Procedures. This sectiondescribes the procedures used by the base station to processmessages received from the mobile station and to send messages tothe mobile station. This section also specifies the message formatsfor messages sent from the base station to the mobile station.
4. Message Transport Protocol. This sectiondefines requirements for various transport protocols that may beused between the mobile station and base station to support thefunctionality defined by this standard.
Annex A. (Normative) This section provides thevalues from various timers used in the standard.
Annex B. (Informative) This section providesthe summary tables of the request/response element types.
Annex C. (Informative) This section provides anexample of the Position Determination Data Message.
Annex D. (Informative) This section providesinformation regarding session tags.
