In recent years, the limitations of 28-day compressive strength tests are being increasingly recognized. The use of a reliable accelerated strength test would add immeasurably to the quality control of concrete in the field. This volume opens with an overview of the problem of accelerated strength testing. A series of papers dealing with case histories of the use of boiling and autogeneous curing methods follows. These are followed by papers discussing new developments in the field of accelerated strength testing. The last paper discusses the analysis of test data by statistical techniques. An annotated bibliography is also included.
