An innovate metal forming process has been developed formanufacturing quality, durable and cost efficient gears for highvolume production. In this paper, the development of Cold FormedGears (CFG) will be presented along with their suitableapplications. The manufacturing technique and equipment will beintroduced as well as the advantages and limitations. Applicablematerials and heat treatment practices will also be discussed. Geartooth inspection charts will be presented and compared toconventional manufacturing methodologies.
