The influence of additional dynamic loads on the distributionsof load, flank pressure and tooth root stress are shown. Theadditional dynamic loads excited by the variations of meshstiffness and influenced by tooth deviations and modifications arecalculated and used as input for the calculation of thedistributions of load and stresses in the plane of action. Theprograms used for these calculations were developed at theInstitute of Machine Elements at the Dresden University ofTechnology. Very efficient calculations are obtained by usingspecially developed calculation algorithms. An extensive graphicpresentation of the calculation results is included. The sameconnection of the calculation of load distribution with thecalculation of dynamic loads is also possible in principle on thebasis of very similar programs (LDP & DYTEM) developed at theOhio State University. The calculation results are compared withdynamic loads and transmission errors measured on test rigs in thegear lab at the Ohio State University.
