The 2017 edition is a reaffirmation of the 2013 edition. This standard was developed to provide users, producers and other interested parties with a means of briefly describing aluminum matrix composites utilizing the already existing Alloy and Temper Designation Systems for Aluminum, American National Standard H35.1 / H35.1(M).
