INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this document is to provide an introduction andoverview of the ARINC Cabin Systems Standards. The growingcomplexity and scope of cabin equipment has resulted in theexpansion of ARINC Specification 628 to twelve parts (includingPart 0 and three sub-parts to Part 4).The parts may continue togrow as new concepts and systems are developed. Part 0 provides theconcepts and overview of ARINC Specification 628 and descriptionsof each individual part. A block diagram illustrating therelationship between the various parts is included in Attachment 1.ARINC Characteristic 765 augments ARINC 628, Part 9, with theEthernet Switch Unit as a central data routing and switching devicein an Ethernet network. ARINC Specifications 810 and 812A define anew generation of Galley Inserts and its interfaces to other cabinsystems for data exchange.
