Purpose

This regulation —

a. Establishes policy, responsibilities, anddocumentation requirements for implementing and supporting Manpowerand Personnel Integration (MANPRINT) which implements DODDirectives 5000.1, 8120.1 ; DOD Instructions 5000.2, 8120.2, andDOD Manual 5000.2M.

b. Emphasizes front-end planning of soldier-systemdesign for optimum total system performance as part of the ArmyAcquisition Policy (AR 70-1); Army Life Cycle Management ofInformation Systems (AR 25-3); and Life Cycle Management ofClothing and Individual Equipment (AR 700-86) which are referred tocollectively as “system acquisition.”
