Purpose

This pamphlet identifies the procedures in accordance with AR385–10 for program executive officers (PEO), program/project/product managers (PM), capability developers (CAPDEV),materiel developers (MATDEV), testers, independent evaluators, andsystem safety engineers to—

a. Establish and manage system safety programs tominimize risks throughout the system life cycle.

b. Conduct hazard identification, system safety, hazardtracking procedures, and risk management during all phases of thelifecycle.
