AS 1649 – Timber – Methods of test for mechanical fasteners and connectors – Basic working loads and characteristic strengths

Specifies test methods and calculations used to establish basic working loads and characteristics strengths for specific mechanical fasteners and connectors for use in designing timber structures. Also sets out methods for establishing values for a particular fastener when used with timber of a particular joint group. Appendix A gives recommendations on species for joint group testing.
