AS 2680 – Acoustics – Performance for tape recording equipment for use in acoustical measurement systems

Specifies the minimum performance requirements for tape recording equipment used in the analysis of acoustical signals. It deals only with those aspects of design and operation of tape recording equipment. It highlights the fact that the function of circuitry for automatic gain control and noise reduction, e.g. Dolby system, is not compatible with the requirements of acoustical measurements.
