AS 2877 – Methods of test for fuel consumption of motor vehicles designed to comply with Australian Design Rules 37 and 40

Sets out test methods for measuring fuel consumption of motor vehicles under controlled conditions simulating city and highway driving. Although definitive specifications for some fuels (e.g. unleaded petrol, LP gas and diesel) have been included, the Standard applies to the determination of fuel consumption of motor vehicles, having internal combustion engines, that are fuelled with any appropriate fuel.
