1. Purpose and scope
1.1 The purpose of this standard is to define terms, establish testprocedures, and create minimum performance requirements fortelescopic mechanical screw-type jacks mounted on agriculturalimplements.
1.2 This standard applies to telescopic mechanical screw-typeimplement mounted jacks. These jacks are used specifically for:supporting the hitch points of towed agricultural implements duringstorage, lifting and lowering of implement tongues to facilitate attachingto or disconnecting from an agricultural tractor, and leveling of machineryfor stationary use.
