This document is intended to provide guidance to operators and maintenance organizations of Signaling Transfer Points (STPs) in the telecommunications industry. Suggested work functions and preventative measures are included in the document, as well as attachments providing examples of outage/restoration notification forms, stickers, and tags. Where applicable, this document may address NGN aspects.
