This specification prescribes requirements for the classification ofplain carbon and Cr-Mostainless steels, nickel alloy, and copper-nickel alloy consumableinserts for use in conjunctionwith the gas tungsten arc welding. These inserts also may be used withany other welding processfor which they are found suitable.(Footnote 1) Included are packagingand testing requirements.
