This specification presents minimum fabrication and qualityrequirements for induction brazingmaterial such as steels, stainless steels, copper, copper alloys, andheat or corrosion-resistantmaterials and other materials that can be adequately induction brazed.For the brazing of aluminumalloys refer to AWS C3.7, Specification for Aluminum Brazing. Thepurpose of this specification isto standardize induction brazing process requirements and controlbraze joint quality for allapplications where braze joints of assured quality are required. Thisdocument states minimumrequirements for processes and products with a minimum of explanatoryinformation so that sourcesof ambiguity are reduced. It assigns responsibility for the ultimatequality of the brazed productto a single organization and permits that organization to modifyrequirements if appropriate to theapplication. It requires proper documentation of any suchmodifications. Units are rationalizedconversions from U.S. Customary Units to SI Units and my be usedinterchangeably.
