This specification presents minimum fabrication and qualityrequirements for brazing of aluminumand aluminum alloys. Its purpose is to standardize brazing processrequirements and control brazejoint quality for all applications where braze joints of assuredquality are required. Thisdocument states minimum requirements for processes and products withthe minimum of explanatoryinformation so that sources of ambiguity are reduced. It assignsresponsibility for the ultimatequality of the brazed product to a single organization, and permitsthat organization to modifyrequirements if appropriate to the application. It requires properdocumentation of any suchmodification. Units are rationalized conversions from U.S. CustomaryUnits to SI Units and my beused interchangeably.
