FOREWORD

Bulletin 16 reflects the product standardization efforts of the RWMATechnical Committee and Subcommittees.The participants includedRegular Member Companies, Associate Members and other interested parties.

This document is not intended to be a consensus standard limiting therange of resistance welding products or processes in the market place.Bulletin 16 is a harmonization document created through the efforts ofthe RWMA to minimize random product variation.This bulletin does notencompass the entire range of North American “standard” resistancewelding products.Where several variations exist in the market, theparticipants have formulated a standard design based on the perceived”best practice”.

The new format for Bulletin 16, 3-ring binder, will allow timelyrevisions and updates to be made as technology advances become known.The RWMA welcomes input on any issue relating to the design, manufactureand application of resistance welding components, equipment andprocesses.
