This test standard covers a test method to determine the ability of a safety wire (lock wire) hole to retain safety wire (lock wire) when the safety wire (lock wire) is under load.
NOTE— Beware of the possibility of galvanic corrosion. Performance of the test post exposure may compromise the results due to galvanic corrosion.
