PURPOSE
This test is intended to evaluate the effect of absorption anddiffusion of moisture and moisture vapor on component parts. Thetest is an artificial environmental test and is severelyaccelerated to shorten testing time. This test is more severe thanMethod 1. This test is of value in determining the resistance ofthe component parts to the inroads of moisture, but should not beconsidered as a tropical test for all types of component parts.This test method provides a means of performing humidity testingwithout the need for specialized humidity test equipment.
