This standard applies to flanged globe-style control valves,sizes 15 mm (1/2 inch) through 450 mm (18 inches), having top, topand bottom, port, or cage guiding.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to aid users in their pipingdesign by providing Classes 900, 1500, and 2500, flangedglobe-style control valve dimensions, without giving specialconsideration to the equipment manufacturer to be used.
The short-long dimensions provided in Table 1 clarify 2.1 byconsolidating the diversity of existing manufacturers’ lengths intotwo sets of dimensions for each valve size. Before using either theshort or long dimension, the piping designer should confirm withthe selected valve manufacturer which dimension is correct for thevalve(s) being supplied.
