This standard provides general requirements for the developmentof specifications for pneumatic rack and pinion actuators.
This document applies to actuators with a maximum allowableoperating pressure (MAOP) up to 145 psig with a compressed gas(e.g., instrument air).
For the purpose of this document, 0 degrees always refers to thevalve in the closed position and 90 degrees generally refers to thevalve being fully open.
Purpose
The purpose of this standard is to provide a guide to assist theuser in specifying pneumatic rack and pinion actuators.
