The attached inspection guidelines are recommended for useduring structured analyzer system inspection. The inspection shouldbe performed by qualified individuals. This recommended practice isintended to be a guide and not a “how to” document. These areguidelines and should be modified to include any special projectrequirements. These guidelines cover three basic areas, whichare:
a) ANALYZER INSPECTION: Inspection of ananalyzer and the analyzer-specific application engineering.
b) PACKAGED ANALYZER SYSTEM INSPECTION:Inspection of an analyzer building, shelter, enclosure, highwaycontrollers, and any other equipment used to support the analyzeroperation (other than the analyzer and its sample system).
c) SAMPLE SYSTEM INSPECTION: Inspection of allvendor-supplied equipment that will be installed between theprocess sample tap and the analyzer.
For the purposes of this document, STRUCTUREDTESTING is defined as any witnessed test procedure thatfollows a predefined format.
Purpose
The purpose of this recommended practice is to establishprocedures for analyzer, packaged analyzer system, and samplesystem inspection and testing. The guidelines are intended toprovide minimum requirements for inspecting and testing analyzers,sample systems, and analyzer systems prior to final acceptance. Inno instance is this recommended practice intended to override anyestablished company procedures.
