This Technical Report provides guidance on the handling ofsetpoints for sequenced actions in both nuclear safety-related andnuclear power plant non-safety-related instrumentation.
Purpose
The purpose of this Technical Report is to supplement theinformation provided in ANSI/ISA-S67.04-Part I-1994, Setpointsfor Nuclear Safety-Related Instrumentation, andISA-RP67.04-Part II-1994, Methodologies for the Determinationof Setpoints for Nuclear Safety- Related Instrumentation, forthe performance of instrument uncertainty calculations andinstrument setpoint determinations. Specifically, the topicsaddressed in this Technical Report expand on the discussion ofSections 7 (Establishment of Setpoints) and 9 (Interfaces) ofISA-RP67.04, Part II.
