この規定は、車両の流通過程における塗膜の品質劣化（酸性雨、虫害、大気降下物等による汚染・錆）を短期間防止する目的で車体外板に貼り付ける塗膜保護フィルム（以下フィルムとする）の品 質について規定する。
This standard was established to specify the qualityrequirements for a paint protective film (hereinafter referred toas ‘film’) to be attached to the outer panels of vehicles to bedelivered to customers, to prevent deterioration of coating qualitydue to contamination and corrosion by acid rain, bird/insectdamage, atmospheric fallouts, etc.
