この規格は，自動車部品の金属及び樹脂の素地上に，主としてめっき処理，化成処理を施した部品（以下，めっき部品という。）の耐食性を調べるための標準試験方法について規定する。
備考：この規格の中で，｛｝を付けて示してある単位，数値及び計算式は，国際単位系（ＳＩ）によるもので，参考として併記したものである。
This standard covers the standard test methods to examine thecorrosion resistance of the automobile parts made mainly by platingand chemically converting the surface of base metals or plastics(hereinafter referred to as “plated parts”).
Remarks: The units, numerical values and formulas herein are inaccordance with the System of International Units (SI), and thosein braces { } are in accordance with the conventional unit systemsand appended for reference.
