この規格は、車室内ＶＯＣ（揮発性有機化合物）低減を目的に部品から放散されるＶＯＣの測定方法について規定するもので、厚生労働省の室内ＶＯＣ指針値で対象とされている物質のうち、ホルムアルデヒド、アセトアルデヒド、トルエン、キシレン、エチルベンゼン、スチレン、パラジクロロベンゼンの部品からのＶＯＣ放散量測定方法を規定する。ここでは、主に試料の取扱やＶＯＣの捕集方法について 規定する。

This standard specifies the method of measuring theconcentration of volatile organic compounds (VOC) emitted from thematerials of car parts in order to facilitate the studies in thereduction of in-occupant-room VOCs including formaldehyde,acetaldehyde, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene, styrene andp-dichlorobenzene among the substances which are listed in theguideline specified by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare onthe air contamination in rooms. This standard mainly covers thesample preparation and VOC collection procedures.
