This standard provides the specification for the interface whichcoincides with the Reference Point “Ater” defined in the TR45Network Reference Model shown in [20]. The scope of this standardincludes the following topics:
Descriptions of the specified functional capabilities thatprovide wireless telecommun16 ications services across the BS-BSinterface as defined in the TR45 Network Reference Model;
Descriptions of the division of responsibility of the functionsprovided between the source BS and the target BS, withoutprescribing specific implementations;
Descriptions of the BS-BS interface standard that support DS-41and cdma2000®1 systems.
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to provide the standard forinterfacing a Base Station (BS) with one or more BSs. This documentdefines the functional capabilities, including services andfeatures, of the specified interface. These services and featuresare the defining characteristics that are the basis for the overallsystem standard.
