This standard provides the specification for the interface thatcoincides with the Reference Point “Aquater” defined inthe TR45 Network Reference Model shown in [I-1]. The scope of thisstandard includes the following topics:
• Descriptions of the specified functional capabilities thatprovide packet data services across the PCF-PDSN interface;
• Descriptions of the division of responsibility of thefunctions provided between the PCF and the PDSN without prescribingspecific implementations.
Purpose
The purpose of this document is to provide the standard forinterfacing one or more PDSNs with one or more PCFs. This documentdefines the functional capabilities, including services andfeatures, of the specified interfaces. These services and featuresare the defining characteristics that are the basis for the overallsystem standard.
